Vanity/Marketing URLs

Hi, we are trying to find a solution which will allow us to create a vanity/marketing url such as the following:

www.solihull.gov/libraries

... which will redirect to:

www.solihull.gov.uk/Resident/Libraries.aspx

i.e. remove the "resident" part of the address and also the aspx extension.

We would also like to create a singe rule which allows us to create urls such as:

www.solihull.gov.uk/libraries/balsallcommon

... and...

www.solihull.gov.uk/libraries/castlebromwich

... etc

... and point us to www.solihull.gov.uk/Resident/Libraries/LIBRARYNAME.aspx

There will be a lot of libraries so we would like to add a single rule which will cater for all current libraries and also any future ones which are added.

We tried DNNSharp's URL Adaptor which did what we required, but it will not work on a web farm, which is how our hosting is set up.

Can someone confirm the following:
  1. We will be able to set up urls as above using DNN 7.1 after the iFinity module is integrated?
  2. It will work on web farm hosting?
Thanks,
Neil.

The functionality you're looking for is available on the 7.1 release of Evoq Content now. It works perfectly well on web farm hosting.

Please note that this project (iFinity Friendly Url Provider) is NOT related to the 7.1 release of DNN Advanced Urls.
